A preliminary test tells you instantly upto which pond size/ volume accurate values can be determined.
You will immediately be able to see whether your water is too hard or too soft in order to determine the correct pond size. WE presume a carbonate hardness of at least 6 Eng in order to be able to measure the accurate size of your pond.
Water with carbonate hardness of less than 6 Eng is rare, and very instable. In such a case, application of a prodcut to raise the hardness is recommended before testing with Pondvolume.Carbon hardness over 15 Eng makes the accurate pond volume also difficult.
Good results are achived if pH-minus is used to lower the carbonate hardness before testing in such cases.
