This Hatcher can be installed in both Marine & Fresh water tanks. The Hatcher should be placed at a water level location using the suction cup (see Diagram).

Keep the water temperature between 77F - 82F.
Connect airline tubing and air pump (STELLAR) to obtain aeration in the hatching chamber.
Place 0.05oz-0.07oz salt into Salt & Egg Deposit.
Wait a few minutes for salt to dissolve in the water, then put 0.03oz brine shrimp eggs into the Salt & Egg Deposit; measuring spoons are included in the kit.

The eggs absorb water and go down into the Hatching Chamber.
They start hatching in about 18 to 24 hours.
Hatched sea monkeys move up and down in the chamber with the water flow.
Then they gather at the border surface between the marine water and the fresh water looking for slower water flow and preferable lighting.
Sea Monkeys will stay in the Distributing Chamber for a while to get used to the fresh water. Then finally they will step out into the fresh water tank.
The sequence will take about 24 to 30 hours.

Rinse the Hatcher at least once a week or before the use after the interval.

Live phytoplankton is an extremely important food for a great many animals that are maintained in reef aquariums.

DT’s Live Marine Phytoplankton is concentrated and cleaned to provide nutritious live phytoplankton without the contamination of excessive nutrients or metals from the culture media.

It is very rare for phytoplankton species to survive refrigerated storage. DT’s Plankton Farm only uses species that have been proven to survive refrigerated storage for the entire five month shelf life our “best if used by” date is based on.

Marine reef aquariums can be populated with a variety of phytoplankton feeding animals.

Although some of these animals may feed on preserved phytoplankton, some will reject dead phytoplankton or detritus as food and not consume it. Clams have been shown to reject nonliving partials, passing them instead as pseudo-feces.  Only live phytoplankton will be accepted by all phytoplankton feeding animals.

Feeding DT’s Live Marine Phytoplankton to your reef aquarium will greatly increase the population and nutritional quality of copepods and other zooplankton that will be available as food for stony corals.

Reef Bugs

Reef or marine 'snow' is an aggregate of LIVING MICROBES clinging to, one or a combination of organic, inorganic, volcanic, mineral, living or recently dead matter.

Reef Bugs™ yields particle sizes down to less than a micron and up to macroscopic particles. The individual living organisms are microscopic.

These microbes, primarily bacterial, and fungal (yeasts and related organisms) provide 30% of the planktonic matter raining down on the reef.

How To Use
A whole teaspoon (about 1.5 grams) could be used per hundred gallons a day in a “dialed in”, heavily stocked reef tank. I would start more conservatively, feeding one half teaspoon per day per 100 gallons daily. This has proved adequate and desirable as a starting application. As the mix of species as well as the quantity of the critters make each aquarium unique be conservative at first - the old axioms about overfeeding an aquarium should be remembered

Artemia (brime shrimp) nauplii are a valuable, sought-after delicacy for fish fry of all species. Adult fish and many invertebrates also love to eat the nauplii as well as fully grown, live Artemia shrimps.

Sera Artemia-mix is an innovative, readily portioned complete breeding mixture for Artemia nauplii. All you need to do is pour the contents into a clean container with 500 ml Fresh water and aerate it. With this kit, even people will succeed who have no experience with breeding live food. Emulgated multi-vitamin preparation for strengthening fish during or after diseases, after introducing them into a new aquarium, for breeding and to vitaminize food for fish fry. sera fishtamin is also suitable for strengthening pond fish before and after hibernation. It can be added directly into the aquarium water. It is better, however, to drip 6 - 7 drops per fish directly onto the food a few minutes before feeding once a week.
